Who is the youngest person in the world to climb mount washington in new hampshire? please respond.
Answer
I doubt there is a record of this since "climbing" it can be done in the summer on a hiking trail or even by driving up the road to the summit. A trail for horseback riding and hiking was built to the top in 1819 and hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people have gone up that for nearly 200 years. I have no doubt someone has climbed to the weather station on the top with their baby in a backpack by now and the easier trails could be managed by young children who were experienced hikers. Not that certain routes aren't steeper and more challenging, especially in winter (I have climbed it in the winter and needed ice ax and crampons on some ecposed and ice-covered areas). But in fair weather it is more a large hill than an alpine peak.

Answer
In the first few months, babies need a lot of soothing so the swing works great. By six months, babies are very cognizant and hunger to learn more of their new world. Sitting in the swing simply isn't stimulating enough. At this stage babies crave interaction with the mother and observing closely how she interacts with her environment. The best thing you can do for your baby at this point is to wear them. Figure out a baby carrier that fits you best (sling, wrap, bjorn, I started using one of those hiker backpacks that can hold a pre-schooler @ around 9 mo). If you can get comfortable doing this, you will find you can get GOBS done during the day, and your baby will be perfectly satisfied, especially if you sing or talk while you're working. You will also be more able to put him down on floor and have him happily amuse himself if you have been carrying him whilst doing your chores.
If you simply can't wear your baby, then you will find yourself spending most of your day moving him from one contraption to another, and constantly comforting him because he wants your interaction and closeness.
Here are links to some of the carriers I have used with my children as well as others I have cared for:
