I WILL BE SELLING HANDMADE ITEMS LIKE BURP CLOTHS, BACKPACKS, MONOGRAMMED ITEMS, SOAP, JEWELRY, TOYS, PILLOWCASE DRESSES, HEADBANDS, MEMORY PAINT CANS, BIBS, EXC....SOME CUTE NAMES ALREADY TAKEN ARE BULLFROGS AND BUTTERFLIES, A PEA IN A POD, SWEET PEAS AND BABY CARROTS. I WANT A REALLY CUTE NAME. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS!
I think it would be cute to have "Little Dimples and" or "Chubby Cheeks and" in the name. I need something that rhymes.

Answer
Just thought of these....

Hands of heart
Kiddies and Cuddles
Cheeky Monkey
A mother's love
Sleepy Bear
Handmade corner
Angels above
Made with Joy
Full of Giggles
Clever mommy
Have a nap
Ask Gramma
In the eyes of a child

Now some of these names are silly and may already be taken. I just put down what came to mind. Good luck finding a good name.

What do you think about harness and leads for young children?

.

My son is two years old and does a really great job of sticking by us in public and holding our hand, but even the best of behaved small children can get overly excited and take off running from your side. So we got him a little harness and lead system. The harness is a little backpack that buckles around his torso and the lead is a 2 ft tail that comes off the back of the backpack. It's a cute little thing and he loves it, calling it his monkey pack, lol.

We have loved having this as it also makes it a ton more difficult for any sick child snatcher to take our son at a moments notice as well. Also if he happens to suddenly let go of our hand and tries to run off it keeps him from running too far ahead. Being 7 months pregnant and not being able to move as quickly, that has made it easier on my feet! Anyhow what do you think of using a harness and lead?
Just to add on I realize my son is not an animal, but for goodness sake it isn't inhumane! We have really used it only when we go to some place like the zoo or a crowded event. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

What about strollers? Aren't strollers used to keep your toddler from running away and keep them from getting snatched by someone? The only difference I see is that my 2 year old can now be free to walk some.
I would never misuse a harness and lead. One answerer here said she saw a woman jerk on the lead making her son fall over. I'd never do that! That's awful! My intent is to keep my child safe and to keep someone from snatching him in a crowded place (which can happen to any child no matter how closely you watch them).

Answer
When our 3rd child was 12 days old my husband left on the ship for over 6 months. (He was in the Navy.) Our oldest was not yet 5 and our daughter was a little over 2 years old.

I drove about 30 minutes to the next community over and went to a specialty store to purchase a harness for my daughter. Before the baby was born I could usually find her when she wandered off in the store but once the baby was born I could not abandon our baby who was likely in a cart to find her when she decided to wander off.

The harness I purchased was the kind with the straps on the front and had a leash.

There were numerous times when other mothers would stop me and ask me where I bought it. They were asking like they would desparately like to purchase one for their kids.

We all know that we live in a dangerous world today and that there are a lot of creeps out there and it doesn't take long for a child to disappear. So I say better safe than sorry!!!
