it's a religion thingy where women must not show their hair after they had gotten puberty...

Answer
Option one: respect your family's wishes and buy the coolest scarves you can find. There realy are some great ones out there, I know. Match your outfits. Buy some extras to share with your friends--they can tie 'em on their backpacks or around their necks or wear them like a turban. Start a trend. Rock the tudung like it's... like it's whatever fourteen year olds all wish they wearing these days. Prada backpacks?

Option two: telll them no. Be firm, firm, firm. Tell them no. Tell them you respect their wishes and your religion, but you are not ready. A hard road, but, at your age, your perrogative.

Option three: compromise. Can you cover your hair in a less conspicuous way? Maybe a smaller scarf or wear your hair tied up? Maybe something vintage, like a snood. A snood, btw, is a crocheted hairnet thing women wore over the backs of their long hair in the 1930s and 40s. Very glamorous.

Good luck.

I need some serious room help!?

Emma

My room is a fashion DON'T EVEN GO THERE. It's light purple, has pretty stencils on top that are kinda nice. But then I have a BIG vanity that's too big for my room, a paisley chair that doesn't have any purple in it, a book shelf with two shelves and picture books on it (I tried to get rid of them but my mom said I had to keep them there because there's no space for them anywhere else), another small mirror that's hideous, a closet that has 4 shelves (two of them consisting of all my mom's craft stuff squished together, and two of them for all my clothes, a very small space for my dresses, coats, and sweat shirts, a single bed that I don't even fit in, an old vintage painting that was cool but is now just out of place, a violn, two backpacks, two more shelves filled with random junk, and a newspaper sprawled out on the floor. And to top it all off, it's about a 15 by 10 foot room including the closet that takes up 10 feet of it. It's WAY smaller then it sounds. It's more like a janitor's closet.

the biggest problems are that the walls are a baby color, my bed is too small, and i don't have room for my stuff. No, I can't get a better room right now. They're all taken. I was thinking, if I repaint the walls, get rid of the vanity, put shelves on the walls for my books and some of my junk, and kick my mom out of my closet, maybe it'd be better... HELP!!!!!!!!!

Answer
I'm sorry that you are having this problem! :( but i hope this helps: (i have a small room too)
okay, so maybe if you get rid of some stuff then you can get a full bed! Maybe you can put all of your mom's craft stuff in those plastic bins that you can put under your bed to make more room in the closet if she doesn't let you kick her out of your closet. hehe. get rid of the vanity, and maybe (if you have enough room then you can get a small desk and put a mirror sitting on top of it so it can be both, or maybe if you have enough room you can put a small dresser to have more room for your clothes. I think putting up shelves sounds like a great idea, but try to make sure they aren't overly cluttered. the trick to making a small room seem bigger, is to use light colored paint, and then brighter accessories and to try to keep stuff off the floor. So throw away the newspaper on the floor (if you have read it already) and maybe you can get one of those over the door hooks for your closet to provide extra space and you can put your 2 backpacks there. (if you don't like or don't use one than maybe you should give it away). go through everything in your room to reduce the amount of junk, and maybe for one of the shelves, or in the bookcase then get some of those storage bins to hide the clutter. I hope i helped and good luck!
