Best place to get free baby stuff?

Josh

Samples, diapers, anything?

Answer
Look up brand name baby websites, enfamil, similac and parents choice samples will send you full day supplies of formula, Huggies parents choice and pampers all have lists you can sign up for and they periodically send you free samples of diapers, wipes, growth guides etc. Not to mention coupons out the whazoo. Gerber is fantastic about sending coupons and lots of other little things. You can sign up for a free parents magazine or american baby for a year. When you are in the hospital most of the time you get a free pack of newborn diapers, powder hygiene products that are included in the price of the room. Most hospitals are also giving away a free similac backpack with coupons for cleaning products, a container of similac advance formula, tips for breastfeeding and a foldable cooler with ice packs for your baby's bottles.

Tips and Travel Information for newborns!?

PureAwesom

I was just wondering what is the earliest that a newborn can travel and if they are any stipulations in regards to that.

This is going to sound a bit stupid, but can newborns (baby will be roughly 4-5months by travel time) have their own luggage? I know you can bring their diaper bag, but would I have to mix my things and baby's together in a suitcase?

Where or what link would have the best way to answer questions like these? Thank you so much for helping in advance!

Answer
For each paying seat, there are luggage alocations, if you purchase a seat, baby will get thier own luggage if not, they most likely will charge you extra. I used a backpack for my purse, and my carry on was another backpack that could fit in the overhead storage. Check airlines actual websites, policies change so often these days that some may have lightened up on the luggage rules and fees. There are no age restrictions other than common sense depending on your own choice to travel or not. My grandson traveled at 2.5 months. My daughter just kept him covered with a very sheer blanket, oxygen isnt the greatest on planes, so she just wanted him shielded but able to get enough air while traveling. She said he did fine during the flight, although she did say she breastfed almost the entire time, afraid hed cry!!
Its not a stupid question at all, its actually a very good question! Whatever airlines your traveling on will be the one to go by, since each can have their own rates. If your able to find a flight thats not full, they may allow you to bring your car seat with you, if they are too full and your holding baby, they will take it from you right as you enter the plain and then put it into luggage for you, mostly at no charge. Being an informed traveler will make it easier for you. You can book using the cheap places like expedia.com and travelocity.com, just get all the info on the flight you like they are showing you, hold on and just call the airlines itself and ask all the rules etc, and if the airline site is higher, then book thru the travel sites, be warned, once you book ona travel site theres no changing plans, booking through an airline makes it easier to change things for a pretty big fee.
