baby backpack weight limits image

I am trying to homeschool my 6 and 5 year olds. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old as well. This was our first official week. It was difficult to get anything done with the one year old needing me constantly. Has anyone else dealt with this? Did you make it through? I need some encouragement!
Answer
Been There!
Mostly you just learn to be inventive.
⢠Readâaloud time was the easiest to do consistently. I learned how to nurse and read a book at the same time while reclining on the couch. The other kids played on the floor and listened. They learned quite a bit that way. I tried to read a lot of history and nature stories, but some days we needed a good nonsense book.
⢠We had a wind-up swing that was a life saver. Fortunately my kids were small-average and did not outgrow the weight limit until they were almost 2. That was good for one subject.
⢠When the 1 yo takes a nap, the 3 yo should have quiet play. A 3 yo can be taught to have 20 minutes quiet play, which ought to be worth one subject of instruction.
With my first, I did not like the idea of playpens. By my third, I had converted. Some kids are content to just be where they can see mom, and then will do their own side-along play.
⢠Many 3 yo will be happy to be included like a "big kid." If so, get them their own workbook or sheet of paper and let them sit at the table with their older sib.
⢠Have some special toys or videos that the younger ones get to use ONLY during school time.
⢠Take walks! Not with a stroller though. Baby goes in a backpack carrier so your hands are free (very important). Teach as much orally as you can during walks. Science discussions and mental math work well. Your older kids can practice skip counting and really skip!
⢠Keep yourself relaxed. Babies pick up on your own stress and start reacting. When you are content, they will reflect contentedness unless they are truly hungry or uncomfortable.
⢠Give the older ones some chores while you do something both active and interactive with the baby to wear him out a bit. If he gets your intense attention for fifteen minutes, he should not be needing you constantly.
⢠Be really flexible in your curriculum. The only thing you need paper and pencil for at that age is handwriting class. Finding ways to make learning more natural with less bookwork will open up ways that won't isolate your toddlers so much; the less isolated they feel, the easier it is for you.

What are the requirements for carry-on bags in airports?

Answer
For all classes, each passenger (except an infant) can bring a free baggage allowance of one cabin bag not exceeding 56x36x23cm (22x14x9 in) in size. These dimensions include wheels, handles and side pockets.
The total weight entitlements of your cabin baggage are as follows:
Class Weight
First Class 15kg (33 lbs)
Business Class10kg (22 lbs)
Economy Class 7kg (15lbs)
+ For all travel classes, duty-free items are included in your cabin baggage allowance.
++ If you are travelling in two classes on one journey (split class or mixed class
travel), you can enjoy the greater allowance for the whole journey.
In addition to the standard cabin baggage allowance, you may carry onboard one of the following items free of charge:
â¢a small handbag or
â¢a small backpack or
â¢a briefcase or
â¢a laptop bag.
Passengers requiring mobility aids and/or assistive devices such as Medical Portable Electronic Devices, canes, walkers, crutches and a wheelchair (subject to wheelchair stowage criteria), may carry onboard the following item(s) free of charge:
U.S. FlightsEuropean and Other Flights
â¢No limit on mobility aids and assistive devices required for the duration of the trip.â¢One assistive device and two pieces of mobility aids per passenger.
Passengers travelling on two segments where there are different baggage policies for mobility and assistive devices, can enjoy the greater allowance for the whole journey.
When you are travelling with a child or an infant, you may carry onboard the following item(s) free of charge:
â¢an approved car safety seat,
â¢a small bag of food and nappies (for consumption on the flight),
â¢an umbrella type collapsible stroller (if cabin stowage is available).
Baby buggies must be checked in as hold baggage.
