baby backpack snugli image

I have a snugli (baby backpack) and i was just wondering if it could be submerged in water with a child in it. I want to take my son swimming, and he loves to splash. I dont want to put him into a baby ring...he would try so hard to reach the water he would fall over. I wouldnt be but arms length away from him, but things happen. I was just wondering....

That doesn't sound like much of a plan, but I suppose if you were in a wading pool where you could be sure off your footing... No I can't imagine a situation where just holding the child in your hands or arms wouldn't be superior to strapping them to your chest and then going in the water. Obviously you can't swim like that so what's the point anyway?

Can anyone recommend a backpack baby carrier?

We used the Snugli Comfort Vent Baby Carrier, it wasn't to bad. You can read about my experience with it by following the link below.
